She had claimed to have had supernatural experiences from the age of eleven onward, which she now believes was inherited from her great-great aunt, Dixie Jarratt Haygood, a vaudeville performer whose tricks were easily replicated by those that knew them. Michaelsen asserts these experiences were real and that she inherited real psychic powers. Michaelsen would later claim she learned how to use her psychic powers from Silva method , and that people were invited to test them to demonstrate the method. Yet James Randi states that tests to demonstrate the validity of the Silva Method are actually discouraged.

Dan Corner Who is Johanna Michaelsen? Who is Johanna Michaelsen? Among other things, Johanna Michaelsen is the author of the book, "The Beautiful Side of Evil" where she cites her personal experiences as a spirit medium and the assistant to a "psychic surgeon" in Mexico. She was heavily involved in the occult at that time, but that is far from the end of the story! Johanna Michaelsen apparently also had a spiritually adverse association with Hal Lindsey, the influential pre-trib rapture and once saved always saved teacher!
Grace changer Hal Lindsey , in , is now on "wife" number four. Hence, Johanna Michaelsen was closely associated with Hal Lindsey, through her sister. Such doctrinal lunacy, however, perfectly fits the theology of Hal Lindsey and all those who believe in the lie of eternal security once saved always saved.
Once saved always saved proponents, to be consistent with their belief, do believe in Christian spirit mediums, though they are not open about it!
Listen carefully to the following audio and you will observe that Johanna Michaelsen is saying that very thing indirectly about herself! Shockingly, she thought she was saved while an occultist! Hear Johanna Michaelsen Who Thought She Was A Christian Occultist But I was left with questions [after talking with Edith Schaeffer] because there were a few annoying people who were committed believers in my background who kept asking me questions.
How do you know? I had a lot of experiences I could talk about. So I was totally vulnerable despite my sincerity and despite my devote commitment as a Christian. The implications of Christian occultists would logically lead people to believe there must also be Christian drunkards, Christian adulterers , Christian murderers, Christian rapists, etc.!
Certainly, the absolute impossibility of being in the occult and having eternal life at the same time is demolished in scripture: But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral , those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
This is the second death. Rev The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness , orgies, and the like.
I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. Gal Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft , or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Deu So how could Johanna Michaelsen make such a wild salvation claim decades after she left the occult?
How could the aforementioned passages be flatly rejected? The only answer is, she must have believed the heresy of once saved always saved eternal security , which is so prevalent through our counterfeit church world! Do not just gullibly believe what a person says, for your own spiritual protection. That includes the testimony of Johanna Michaelsen who declared herself to be a Christian occultist!
